Hello
azlanirda let say i upload my files using both ftp and file manager, after finish uploading, when i go to the folder, there are still some missing thumbnail
So just for clarification, you need to REFRESH the page from browser if you are uploading files via FTP. Files Gallery uses several cache mechanisms (for fast performance), and won't reload folders from scratch by simply navigating, until you refresh browser so that it can detect changes.
I might include a setting for this always_reload_folders
, but this will slow down general browsing.
azlanirda but after refreshing the folder a few times, all the thumbnail are there...
Do you mean refreshing in browser? When you say "a few times", this isn't normal. On refresh, Files Gallery will check the folder "modified time", and if it has changed, it means files have been added or removed, and it will load new uncached data. If you need to refresh in browser "a few times" (more than once), then something is wrong. Some remote mounted dirs with delayed modified time on the dirs? I could only diagnose this from a link, but new thumbnails should display immediately after refresh in browser.
azlanirda but what i want to know is why, the next day, when i browse the same folder, the thumbnail of certain image is missing... although the day before all the pic thumbnail is there..
And what happens when you refresh the page? Sounds like you are having some issues with Javascript localStorage, related to some issues with folder modified times not updating correctly. Or maybe your server is using some Nginx varnish cache that is outputting outdated content. I could diagnose with a link.
