It's not quite clear what you mean. URL files contain only a link and that's it.

Files Gallery will by default use the URL as display text, because it makes sense that the user knows what they are clicking. The option would be to display the filename.url, although this seems less useful to me.

Yes, what I mean is to display the filename as a description, not the URL.

This is not current possible, but I will add a Javascript option in next release.

I was personally of the idea that the target link should be displayed, so that the visitor easily knows where the link goes.

In latest release Files Gallery 0.9.0, url files will now show the file name (without extension), instead of the target link.
