The problem here, is that Files gallery doesn't really control your file system. If you delete path/path/file.jpg
and it ends up in _files/trash/file.jpg
, we don't really know where the original file belongs. Even if we store the full path _files/trash/path/path/file.jpg
, you might have changed the original path in the mean time, or even have a new file with the same file name.
I think my point is, Files gallery does not use database and does not control your file system. I don't think it's reasonable to implement RESTORE functionality, because it wouldn't really work properly, or it can't be sure where to restore files. I think with a TRASH feature, it would simply move files to _files/trash
and then you would need to restore manually ... Or we could perhaps make the trash folder visible in the menu, with a trashcan icon, and treat it as a normal folder.
