Ok, basically you would like to use real URL paths like /path/to/dir/
instead of ?path/to/dir
, right? This can be achieved with rewrite rules in .htaccess
(Apache) or in Nginx config file. However, it also requires adding an option for this in the Files gallery Javascript, so that we can push real dir path in browser after navigating to a new folder.
Keep in mind, when such a rewrite is in place on server, you won't be able to view folders directly in browser any longer. For example, request /path/to/dir/
will always open the dir in Files gallery index.php
, because that is after all the point of the rewrite. Also, the rewrite will only target directories of course, since normal files must be directly accessible from their url.
The rewrite rule would not be too complicated, but the Files gallery Javascript needs to be updated also, so that it can push different url's (real paths) on navigation. I will look into this in a future release.
