ichiru I find it a pain in the ass to update each new version.
Pain in the ass 😃 Surely this must be one of the easiest apps to update: Just download latest index.php and overwrite existing index.php
.
There is already an option check_updates which shows a "bell" icon in topbar when there is an update, and then you can update directly by the click of a button. This is disabled by default, because in many cases, you don't want this button available for other users than yourself.
It's not like there are that many releases. Maybe every two months when I am working on it, and when not, much less.
ichiru Is it possible to add an auto-update feature for this purpose?
There is already the option noted above. I don't know about "auto-update", because that would mean the app would attempt to update itself automatically, even if you don't want to update. It would check for updates when visited, and update in the background (if server supports it), and the user could perhaps be notified ... but if you are the owner, you might never know. This doesn't seem useful, and could be insecure.
