I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean searching for files in ALL directories? Or do you mean allowing "filter" for the folders menu on the left?

I will consider it in a future release. It's a bit more complicated than filters for the gallery, because the menu is recursive/nested and we need to display parent folders of all folders that are found by the filter.
